pebbles:

UI dislikes him, hell they are basically one minor inconvenience away from hating him. he's slightly older than them, but despite being "such a brat" (UI is projecting onto him. pebbles is NOT a brat <///3), he is a lot more liked by the group than UI. neither do their views align, UI is an anti-sliverist, and pebbles is a sliverist. so basically UI is fighting pebbles for the title of the cooler third gen iterator of the group (everyone else in the group is either second gen or first gen)

moon:

UI likes moon, literally the only one who UI isn't mean around. and it's not because UI just wants to be on the good side of a senior, no, UI genuinely does think that moon is rather nice. a part of UI wishes that they were her younger sibling instead of pebbles. moon is sort of the only one who's nice to them… thus they need to repay moon by being nice back. UI tries their best to not accidentally push moon away.

grey wind:

never talked to them, sort of wary, but admire them nonetheless. neither did UI wanna talk to GW, i guess they feel too guilty, as if GW absolutely despises them for how they're unable to really keep much friendships without pushing everyone away after 100 cycles. this guilt clouds UI's eyes, making them wary of GW because they so thoroughly convinced themselves GW hates them.

no significant harassment:

rather neutral about NSH, tried to become friends with NSH but ended up pushing him away like they always do. nevertheless, they hold no good or bad opinions about NSH

suns:

UI doesn't know them, has no clue why they talk like they're a part of the group, and really doesn't like them because of this. UI is sort of distrustful of strangers, they definitely live by an extreme version of "you do not get my respect for free"

#Doodles #Webkinz #Webkinz hours! The cute lads have wedged their way back to the forefront of my mind haha #I'm honestly really glad I kept all my Webkinz plush over time and they've survived all the moves and whatnot #Some are still missing - most notably my horses for some reason - but I have the rest onhand and they're still cute and soft and I love them #Getting the opportunity to name and play with them as a young'un made them stick quite strongly in my mind ♪#And I still find some of my design sensibilities with their roots in the gameplay/game design/UI design/interactivity #I think it inspired some of my Video Game Design brain which is an aspect of myself I'm quite happy with :D #And I /love/ plushies probably now more than ever <3 So I'm doubly glad younger me didn't get rid of them haha #Got my lineup that featured in Tala's Requestober this year ♥ I left out a couple for what are probably obvious reasons ahem ahem #If you haven't seen what the Official design of the clownfish is in Webkinz... #(describes things that are just a new look with less customization) more than just a new look!#(the right click menu is a mess in win 11 requiring an extra button press and clashing ui design to reveal basic functionality) find things #with fewer clicks!#i mean no wonder 60% of users haven't upgraded. they do not even spindoctor their new evil technology like copilot in their own copy.#is it because most older hardware does not even have the architecture to support the “neural engine accelerated” features?#like let me go through it. 1. added dedicated “weather and news” widget that in practicality just displays ads. 2. start is centered now #and less customizable. you cannot move the taskbar anymore. 3. native integrated zone snapping. i mean. not bad in itself but works worse #than powertoys. which is a win app to begin with. that i would use instead in win 11. and that you can install to win 10.#4. new ui design for multiple desktop overview. basically just a macos copy but i'll give them it looks slightly less confusing than what's #in win 10. win 10 does have multi desktop natively though? 5. you call it simpler and quicker when you kill the native calendar and mail #apps and replace them with the horrible outlook wrapped webapp. which comes with ads you cannot deactivate????

Recent game related things .. hrmm...

#I do like the inconsistency of the first map. that is actually something older but that I re-found and added to my Game Reference stuff #so that when characters reference where they're from I can be accurate. I like that the whole map is kind of shifted up that way. Where the #actual south part doesnt even count as the south since its Too Far and Scary lol. and if you say you're from 'the north' thats basically #like.. one single continent. Though some people do make distinctions like 'north midlands' or etc. still. I like the ways that common #language isn't always precisely accurate like that. and thinking about why a culture would classify things a certain way or etc. etc.#The inventory page is so funny to me because it's literally just the BASe like.. sample layout just to make sure it works properly with 0 #actual design into it. just colored rectangles thrown together in MS paint. but what if I like... left it like that.. what if all the other #art in the game and UI is like stylized and fully matching BUT the inventory/journal/etc. screens I just left as plain colored blocks #with random misalignments and black spots and etc gjhbhjj... It looks unfinished in a Funny Contrast way to me.#the wordcounts are just like... my past few days of writing.. I am still not getting 2200 words a day done or whatever I needed. I'm lucky #if it's even half of that .... tee hee.. :3c I do also keep having appointments and other things going on but..grrr...#The full map of the area is probably not necessary but I thought it would be more realisitc if people were able to reference things. Like i #you have people all living in a city area probably at some point someone might mention a neighboring city or some landmark nearby #or etc. so I thought having at least the basic names of what's around for reference would be sensible. A side character mentioning #'oh yeah I don't live here full time I just travel from Marisene sometimes' or whatever makes it seem more like a Real #Fleshed Out Place than people just making vague references like 'the river' or 'i come from a city nearby' or 'i went to a place somewhere #around here' or 'the other city' or etc. lol.. Especially since global cities/global areas are weird as they operate almost like an #independent country within their walls. so it's like a micro country inside of another country usually. just plopped down in some agreed #upon plot of land that won't be too disruptive to the main country around it. That could get very complex depending on the cultural and #political backdrop of where they're placed (though obviously they try to choose the 'easiest' areas possible for it). Asen is a very mild #country without much history of conflict or anything so it's fine. But still interesting that Sifeh and the entire branched out global area #border three other districts of Asen. Which means like 3 times the local representitives you'l have to negotiate with for some major change #or anything. I think one of the 'random characters you can find around the world and have short discussions with just to make the area #feel more populated and real even though theyre not actual important npcs' is going to be a guy who actually serves on the council that #handles running the global areas and he's like.. some perpetually exhausted middle aged elf running around with a clipboard or whatever #ANYWAY...... hrgh... still trying to write when I can....#I WISH so badly that I had the scope for a simple character creation menu and all character interactions would allot for the background #of your player character. And also to have a simple day night cycle where places in the world you explore/people you talk to during the day #have new options or dialogue at night.. BUT alas... I already am so behind on everything as is lol.. aughhh... T o T #As the worlds number one Needless Detail And Complexity Enjoyer i must dilligently prevent myself from adding additional complexity

This update sucks nuts and not because it's new or different, but because it's too busy. It's too noisy and cluttered and HOLY SHIT WHAT DO I FOCUS ON

THIS? Hot garbage. It's NOISE. There's too much happening. What the fuck am i supposed to focus on here? Not only that, but the information doesn't even fit on the page entirely. You talked about wanting to get more 'new' or 'unknown' posts in front of people and yet the radar is hidden and the 'check out these' section just reads as more noise, Don't even get me started on how the Tumblr Live feed just looks like if I click on it i will get nothing but viruses.

So. Let's do some tweaking.

Still cluttered, but less terrifying! This is 15 minutes shuffling things around. Give me a full day and I could do more but this is just to get the idea across,

You got too many visual elements going on rn and it's Too Much. And a lot of it users just CAN'T get rid of. So. Let them. A collapseable sidebar of Discover will let them choose whether they want to engage with it or not, while still keeping the site balanced visually.

Condensing the Stupid live feed into a section along with your following tags and the for you tab keeps it all together, again so people who want to engage in that media CAN,

Like i really cannot stress how terrible this update is from a clutter standpoint. Please. Less is more. I get you wanna be twitter, you want to be friendly to the folks who use twitter, but do you even know what parts of twitter they engaged with??

I'm begging y'all to do better. Please.

my inability to play mobile games nowadays is also a source of suffering as a person who loves rhythm games. i miss her (SIF1).....

#but 1) she is shut down <3 and 2) even if she was still up i probably would barely play because the game was getting.... messy #i loved the old UI but they kept like. adding shit. too many little red exclamation marks #but it was one of the comfiest feeling rhythm game mechanics i ever played #i need to find a rhythm game that really feels good is my problem. high key i actually do not like most of the project diva style gameplay #TOO MANY button inputs that are hard to read im too learning disabled for that #i did love project mirai tho. and i liked project diva X because the progression was less skill focused and more perseverance #i really dont like post ps4 pd i do NOT like those multi button inputs where you have to do like #r1 + square + circle + whatever and it like changes every time. girl i cant READ #i much prefer rhythm games where the inputs are simple and dont require as much thinking or reading #and its more focused on just how good can u hit those simple inputs #i really loved beat saber when i played it at a vr arcade once. but i do not have the space or money for vr rn LOL #i also have really enjoyed taiko. someday i'd like to try a peripheral. one time i played it on the dk bongo gamecube controller #to see what it felt like. it felt bad <3 but it was fun <3 <3 <3 <3 #osu i havent really liked. although i do enjoy elite beat agents and oeundan. i think its the physically small screen of the ds #sometimes its fun to boot up melodys escape or audiosurf too. but id really like to try other games #when i did play mobage i was partial to stuff like sb69's three track system and llsif's 9 spot system #but i didnt like the way deemo felt.... the size of the visual hit boxes were TOO SMALL it always felt weird #flick notes sucked whenever i played a mobage tho. i have SWEATY FINGERS dont to this me #swipe notes are fine its just flick. also i dont like how hard they are to read similar to a lot of console games <3

ensekai has the new ui now! I've been playing around its settings to see what works for me and orz... I still end up motion sick... But, at least the changes I made lessened it by A LOT, so I'm happy bout that!

#aria rants #im feeling slightly motion sick but that might be a cumulative effect from me testing out what settings works best #one things for certain tho is that the fade/muted scheme that the new ui has is the one fucking me up #i cant look at the transition between sections now cuz of the transparent look combined with the bright light #my new settings now consists of basically keeping the old notes look and putting the bg brigtness as low as possible #i wish colopale lets me lower that more than 50% cuz i really need it badly. my lane transparency is at 100%#its good enough... not the best tho cuz i also wish colopale lets us change the brightness of the notes effect #yk-- the light that comes out of the notes whenever its clicked? thats also fucking me up a bit so when i tested it out #i made sure to look up as much as i can so i dont have to see the light effects o<-< and thats all that i can change #i tried to change the note speed in case thatd contribute to the motion sickness but changing to a slower speed fucked me up more #so im keeping my 10 speed and 3 timing otherwise i wouldnt at all be able to play this game anymore cuz of the Wretched new ui orz...#if theres anything im sure bout the new ensekai is that i wouldnt be able to tier anymore cuz id have to lessen my play time of it #cuz of the new ui fucking me up even with the changes i made with the settings so id have to take longer breaks when playing orz...

Took me a while because research was killing the braincells I had left

I think someone with a communication problem is a good duo for a chaotic and energetic puppet! UiO and Grey would either be the wildest cards in writing stories yet. (I don't even want to know what theyre writing about.)

UiO being as you know, well, curious and friendly would be patient to understand what's in with Grey and she's very interested! The only downside is that UiO wouldn't really understand what he means with words and thats gonna take a while.

UiO would also be very interested in things he'd do, even if she doesn't know what it is or just wants to watch, she'd be there asking Grey how things works.

Kumo on the other hand with Verin..

Oh boy, this can either be enemies to long-term rivals or enemies to questionable friendship.

Verin's unfriendly approach and his sharp tongue interact with Kumo's hard heart that needs time? You can bet things are not going to have a positive outcome ever. Verin is a stuck-up and he is DEFINITELY not seeing Kumo in a good light. Verin is a pretty organized person and most certainly will notice if something is missing from his person.

Worst-case scenario they'd be at each other's throats that cannot possibly be stopped unless by force. Turning to questionable friends though? They'd still be at each other's throat but Verin would lower the sharpness of his quips.
